• The media because of its vast coverage acts as a significant platform to raise awareness about abuse of human rights, as well as exposing violences and those accountable for acts of violences.
• The media is often instrumental in creating a sense of urgency in terms of addressing cases of violences and mobilising the mass public to voice their causes and show support for human rights campaigns. Additionally, the media conveys facts from a neutral perspective, which gives ground for informed debates.
